Symposium

Immune Regulation

from March 5 - March 7, 2009

Bonn, the former capital of Germany, is converting from a city of politics to a focal point of research and development. Its University is among the top-ranking institutions in the country and more and more scientific organizations as well as the German Research Foundation are centered here.

This symposium will focus on the latest findings and breakthroughs in the regulation of immune cell activation and will be organized by members of the collaborative research center 704 „Molecular mechanisms and chemical modulation of local immune regulation“. We plan to cover three main topics within a two-day conference ranging from mechanisms of immune cell activation, molecular mechanisms of antigen presentation in dendritic cells and interplay between innate and adaptive systems in immune regulation. A central purpose of this scientific meeting is to bring together people working in basic and applied disciplines for an interactive and dynamic conference on important and exciting research areas.

The meeting will take place in a new science building belonging to the Center of Advanced European Studies And Research – CAESAR and overlooking a beautiful Rhine meadow. It is easy to reach in Bonn. Everybody that enjoys stimulating scientific sessions is welcome. Please register soon as room capacity and oral/poster presentations are limited.
